Brisbane's casino licence moved in 2024 from the heritage Treasury Building to Queen's Wharf, a riverside precinct in the central business district built with hotels, a public realm beneath an elevated deck and a sky viewing level over the Brisbane River.
It was the largest single casino development in Australia in decades, and it opened in stages while the Queensland regulator was examining the operator's suitability, so the property began trading under heightened supervision.
