Casinos in Deauville

1 venue recorded.

Deauville, on the Normandy coast two hours from Paris, was developed as a seaside resort in the nineteenth century with a casino at its centre, alongside racecourses, a boardwalk and grand hotels. The present casino building dates from 1912.

The town's season runs from spring through the September film festival and the summer racing and polo calendar, and the casino's classic gaming rooms open accordingly. It remains one of the clearest surviving examples of the French resort model.
