Foxwoods is operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation in the woods of southeastern Connecticut. It began as a high-stakes bingo hall in 1986, added casino gaming in 1992 under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, and grew into one of the largest gaming complexes in North America.

The property is effectively several connected casinos under one roof, each with its own entrance, theming and hotel tower, plus an outlet mall, an arena and a museum of Pequot history built by the tribe. Walking between the far ends of the complex takes a quarter of an hour.

Highlights

  • Several connected casinos under one roof
