Casinos in Sydney

2 venues recorded.

Sydney holds two casino licences. The older property is at Pyrmont beside Darling Harbour, operating since 1995; the second, at Barangaroo on the harbour foreshore, opened in 2020 in a hotel tower and was licensed initially for invited and VIP play rather than walk-in trade.

Both have been reshaped by the inquiries that led to the creation of the NSW Independent Casino Commission in 2022. New South Wales has moved earlier than most jurisdictions on carded play and cashless gaming, so Sydney floors now show requirements that elsewhere are still under consultation.
