Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City
Hard Rock took over the former Trump Taj Mahal, which closed in 2016, and reopened the Boardwalk property in 2018 after a substantial refurbishment. The Taj's domes and minarets were removed and the interior rebuilt around the brand's music-memorabilia programme.
The property runs a heavy live-entertainment calendar across several rooms, including the former Mark Etess Arena, and competes on show bookings as much as on gaming. It reopened alongside Ocean Casino Resort in the same month, restoring two of the five casinos the market had lost.
