Ocean Casino Resort occupies the building constructed as Revel, which opened in 2012, closed after two years and stood empty until 2018. The tower is the tallest in Atlantic City and the only one where the gaming floor sits above ground level with sea views on two sides.
The reopened property has been progressively refurbished, with a top-floor pool and spa, a reconfigured casino floor and additional room inventory brought back into service. It sits at the northern end of the Boardwalk beside Hard Rock.
