Caesars Palace
Caesars Palace opened in 1966 and is the oldest of the large themed resorts still trading on the Strip. Its Roman scheme was unusual at the time for being carried through the whole property rather than applied as decoration, and the resort grew by accretion: six hotel towers of different periods, a shopping mall added in 1992, and an arena-scale theatre.
The gaming floor is spread across several connected rooms, which makes it feel larger than its measured area. The sportsbook was rebuilt as a two-level room, and the property is the flagship of Caesars Entertainment's loyalty programme, which links it to dozens of regional casinos across the United States.
