The Golden Nugget has operated on Fremont Street since 1946 and is the largest casino in downtown Las Vegas. It was rebuilt in stages from the 1970s into a full resort, and it anchors the eastern end of the covered Fremont Street Experience.

Downtown casinos generally run lower table minimums and better blackjack rules than the Strip, and the Nugget sits at the upper end of that market: a shark tank pool, four hotel towers and a long-running poker room, with the floor open to the street rather than buried inside a resort complex.

Highlights

  • Largest downtown casino, trading since 1946
  • Pool with an aquarium water slide
  • Lower minimums than Strip equivalents
  • On the Fremont Street Experience
