The Venetian Resort
The Venetian opened in 1999 on the site of the Sands, and was conceived around convention business as much as leisure: the attached Sands Expo and Convention Center gives the property one of the largest meeting footprints in the United States. A second all-suite tower, the Palazzo, opened in 2008 and connects through the shopping canal level.
The combined gaming area is among the largest on the Strip and is unusually deep in Asian table games, a legacy of the operator's Macau business. The resort's real estate and operations were sold in 2022, and it now trades independently of its former parent company.
